State President

Darren Ray
My name is Darren Ray, and I am the State President for the 2020-2021 year. I am a senior political science student at the University of Charleston with a minor in business administration. After I graduate with my undergraduate degree, I hope to move onto law school. My major and background show the dynamic nature of this organization. Anyone can benefit from the experience and memories that you gain as a member of West Virginia Phi Beta Lambda. I joined PBL to get more involved on campus and meet new people. As an incoming freshman, it was a scary transition between high school and college. However, PBL has made this transition much smoother.
This coming year, I want to continue to meet great people within the organization. Phi Beta Lambda has been such a fun and rewarding experience for me, and I want to ensure that that is the case for everyone who joins this amazing organization. This will be my third year in the organization and second year on the state executive board. Last year, we overcame obstacles and continued to ensure that we were building a "world of opportunity" for our members around the state. I look forward to building onto that progress and providing an enriching experience for all of our members.
State Secretary

Jacob Klepp-Egge
My name is Jake Klepp-Egge, and I am proud to be the Secretary for Phi Beta Lambda in the state of West Virginia. I am a senior Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing and minor in Entrepreneurship at Shepherd University. While serving as Secretary, I will be in my third year with Phi Beta Lambda, and fifth with FBLA-PBL.
Following graduation, I hope to run my own marketing firm, and possibly other businesses. I would also like to see Shepherd's chapter continue to grow, and see Shepherd gain more recognition in FBLA-PBL as it continues to live on. The biggest reason I joined PBL and started my local chapter is because I had previously been a member in the organization. I knew the great opportunities and experiences FBLA-PBL provides, and wanted to give the students of my school the ability to experience that, and grow their leadership capabilities.
State Treasurer

Abbie Busch
My name is Abigail Busch, I’m a rising Senior at Alderson Broaddus University. I am double majoring in Public Administration and Legal Studies, and I’m also double minoring in Business Administration and International Studies. My main objective is to have a career as Political Lobbyist. I’m honored to say I am serving as the West Virginia State Treasure for 2019-2020 school year! In the beginning of my sophomore year I joined Alderson Broaddus’s FBLA-PBL because I thought it would be great to put on a resume. During my junior year I served as WV State Treasure and I look forward to continuing to accomplish goals with the rest of the State Executive Board Team. I am excited to proceed with FBLA-PBL, and I’m looking forward to what 2020-2021 has in store.
